iPod Touch lock screen
hey guys,
i feel very stupid for doing this, but a while back, i've downloaded a theme that makes the passcode lock area invisible when i slide to unlock. and i forgot that i had that installed, so i recently put in a complex password, meaning i have the full qwerty keyboard, and now i cannot unlock my ipod. now i was wondering if anybody could help me out with this! thanks

If any of your friend has an iPod touch or an iPhone, then take a semi transparent paper and mark the locations where keys of your password actually are... and make sure you draw the outline of that keyboard too... Now put that paper on your iPod screen, adjust the outline and press the marked locations...

i've already tried that, also i have multiple international keyboards, and im not sure which one i am currently on. and the keyboard changer in the bottom left corner isn't making a clicking sound when i try to press it, so im not sure what im pressing. ive looked around, and a solution was that i could do something with ssh? but i dont have that installed on cydia. the other ones all said that i had to restore it.

Sync your device with iTunes. It will be unlocked after the sync is done.

Then put it into a recovery or dfu mode and restore it...

If you have SBSettings installed, I always have a gesture assigned to open it in the lockscreen just in case something like this happens. Would Disk Aid Tool work?

Might be being too simple here but can you not just SSH into the iPod and delete the folder for the theme in question? Thus would deactivate the theme and make the unlock area visible.

Just get a ssh-tool and you should be able to fix your problem...
You don't need to have a ssh tool on your device.
Though I don't know if you're able to use ssh because you'll need the ip of your device and WLAN.
Don't know how disk aid works...
I guess you've to restore it!Last edited by alexundercover; 05-11-2011 at 04:47 AM.
