Ipod camera not working after replacing digitzer

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone had replaced their digitizer/lcd assembly on the ipod 4 yet. I had a problem where the camera's not working after doing it.

I have gone back in and un/re-clipped the connector over and over again but no camera in the app. I updated to newest os 4.2 and reset it a couple of times. I don't know if its a software issue but after finding out the digitizer and lcd aren't serviceable separately I wonder if apple made it impossible, it's probably a cable issue but the camera's come off easily and there's no tear anywhere... I wish I had some new ones to test.

If anyone has been through this let me know, I tried searching but it's annoying to search on this site. You can't put 'not' in the header because it puts it in as a boolean operator! I get camera -working instead of camera not working... its annoying.

I dont think the camera is suppose to come off

ive seen pics on ifixit and the way they took the screen off the camera stayed...

If they didn't take the camera off then it's not suppose to come off... Do you have any reasons other than that? I am not sure if it's a hardware or software problem.

I'm hoping someone has removed the camera connector and didn't have any problems with it afterwards. I need to rule out software before I assume the hardware's at fault.

If u restored it with iTunes and everything and it's still not there it most likely is hardware issue. However I never heard of this happening.
