os 4.2.1 Questions

I have a jailbreak ipod touch 2g with os 4.2.1. I have done some surfing to answer this question. I am new to the forum and jailbreak in general. With the 4.2.1 how can I save all my music, pic, videos to Itunes account. Will I lose everything? Will i brick the touch or lose the jailbreak files and start again. Please someone help.

Back up app store apps and music by syncing to iTunes. Pictures can be backed up manually as well as within the back up iTunes will create before any restore process.

It's hard to brick an idevice so probably not.

You will lose all jb data as restoring wipes the jb.
