You don't have SHSHs for anything below 4.2.1 so that's the only thing you can restore to

The real problem is cydia. I wanted to restore to jailbreak my itouch again and reinstall cydia. Because I dont know why it doesnt let me download anything. It gives a hash sum mismatch error and/or sometimes it says something about bigboss even when the app im trying to download is from another repo/source like modmyi or saurik.
One thing I noticed is that when I select an utility, game, etc. It says it installs sbrotator and "X" app
Please help me this have been driving me nuts for days.

Sounds like a connection error or a collision of apps. Hard to diagnose really...
I'm no expert on Cydia fixes unfortunately. All I do whenever I run into Cydia issues is restore. But it seems you can't without going to 4.2.1...

Oh
Are there any guides here that explain to fix this?
Also, I heard that I needed to get the .ipsw I wanted to restore at felixbruns.de
And then click restore on itunes.
Is this true?
@STRAYunINFIDEL: I cant everytime i try to delete or install somehthing in cydia it comes up with the same error

Lol I think it would be a bad idea to delete bigboss anyway.
You need SHSHs to restore to any firmware besides 4.2.1 so regardless of if you download the firmware at Felixbruns.de you can't do it.

So, my only option to fix this is hitting the nasty and evil restore button right?

I feel like it's something that is conflicting with each other.
I had that happen twice. Once I had to restore and once I fixed it. But I don't know if you have the same problem.
I SSH'd in and deleted the conflictor since I knew what was causing the problem.
Maybe you should consider what is causing it maybe...

So maybe if I delete and reinstall the bigboss repo it will fix everything?

I don't think the repo is causing the problem. I'm saying it might be something you downloaded before this happened. Deleting a repo that was pre-installed isn't safe, you risk losing the repo until you restore and rejb. Somebody deleted MMi and couldn't get it back on.

Bigboss isn't causing it...it's erroring out because something is causing it to error out
If you knew what the cause is you would be able to SSH in and delete it, you wouldn't be uninstalling via CydiaLast edited by i.Annie; 01-23-2011 at 02:29 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
