HELP!! USB Device not recognized

I have ipod touch 2g 4.0 mc model jailbreak i connect my computer but nothing happens cannot charge i put my ipod DFU mode nothing happens say USB Device not recognized i need HELPPPPP!!!!!! PLEASE

Does it charge if you plug in into a electrical socket?

Yes is charge for electrical socket but i connect the computer cannot charge then my computer say USB Device not recognized

Sounds like a driver problem on your computer. Do you have the latest iTunes installed?

Try to switch USB ports. That works for me.

I have 2 computers my first computer program is windows xp second windows vista y connect my ipod touch on my 2 computer is say agai the the USB device not recognized. x98car i have itunes 10. I need downgrade version itunes ?? What version??

10.1 is the latest. You also should try another cable if you have one.
