Accessory Compatability

I used to have an ipod video or 5G or whatever and whenever i was in my car I would plug this charger/transmitter into the dock connector of it. I now own a 4G jailbroken itouch but it doesn`t seem to recognize the device at all. I was wondering if there is an easy mod i can do to get it to work, or if there is a tweak i could download to make it work.

You got to becareful doing that because you could cause harm to your ipods. Different transmitters chargers ect need to be certified to work with all apple products so i would first go online and make sure the product you have is apple certified and will work with your touch. if not then go out and buy a new one

Its actually not apple certified, it worked perfectly with my Ipod 5G and with 4G Nano it wouldn`t charge but it would still transmit. But my itouch doesn`t recognize it at all. But ya i was just wondering because i am in university and don`t have much extra cash for electronics. I would rather buy food.

I understand that but you have a good chance of ruining your touch which i am guess cost a pretty penny.

Yes it did. Thank you for the warning. Now that we have that out out of the way, is there any possible solution. I will do it at my own discretion.

There doesn`t seem to be any company name on it. It just says ipod charger/transmitter. It is just a bricktype thing that plugs into the lighterport and then a cable comes out of it to go into the ipod. It has three buttons on it and a screen. The screen displays the transmitting frequency and the buttons adjust frequency up,down and then the last button turns it on/off. Sorry i can`t remember the name or anything i got it a long time ago. I tried googling it but to no avail.
