Im selling my ipod touch 2g (8 gigs) to a friend in town for 100$. And i know that if i do a factory reset, it will wipe pretty much everything i need (as i know he isnt smart enough to ponder through all that). Anyways my two questions are:
1) I was once jailbroken, and obviously its past its warranty, but i remember changing the iPod logo at the top left corner to iShawn(name) and when i did a factory reset, it stayed the same, so i have to have it say iPod again, and not iShawn. Is there a quick way i could go about doing this?
2) Is that all i need to do before all my stuff gets wiped with a factory reset? just wanna make sure... and do you guys think its worth 100$? i mean.. i took excellent care of it, the back isnt even scratched up.
Thanks for the help, and thanks for reason, as im trying to get it to him as soon as possible.
Welcome to modmyi. Sorry but I can not help with changing the iPod back. but I can help for the second question. i think $125 dollars would be a better price. Because its in good condition. And if you have a lot of paid apps on it then keep them on and sell it for more. Before you sell it make sure you have the latest update which is iOS 4.2. make sure all of you contacts, email accounts, notes, and safari book marks are all erased with the restore. Sorry I can't with the first question. Thanks and please tell if you do any of the thing I said.
