Default Auto-Lock doesn't work after Jailbreak?

I recently jailbroke my iPod touch 2g, and now it won't auto-dim or auto-lock when on the lockscreen. it still locks by itself when it's not on the lockscreen, but just stays on until the battery dies. So anytime i get a push notification that i don't check right away, the ipod just stays on until it dies. Anyone know what's wrong? I tried deleting Androidlock, and advanced/extended preferences. Neither worked.

Do you mean 4.2.1? And if worse comes to worse you could just hit the "Reset all settings" button in setting.app->General->Reset.

    I do mean that!
will that delete all my stuff though?
Also, while we're at it, links seem to make everything crash and go into safe mode. whether it be links from safari to YouTube or from mail to safari, it always seems to crash.

I would suggest doing a full clean restore through apple then re-jailbreaking with redsn0w.

While you're reinstalling your apps, check to see if any of them are causing the problem. After everyone you install, just see if it auto-locks itself.

This probably is a hassle, but it may fix your problem and help out anyone else that may have the problem in the future.

EDIT: I would also suggest not hitting the "reset all settings" button. It's been known to send jailbroken devices into an infinite loop of recovery on 4.1. I don't think we'd like to find out if it does the same thing on 4.2.1.
