Broken Dock connector ipod touch 2nd gen

i may have a damaged connector port on my ipod touch 2nd gen. in order to charge or sync my ipod, i have to set it under my printer so the usb cord will hold in place. The cord isnt broken becaucse i used it fine with another ipod. i havent had it for a year yet and maybe apple could replace it. anyone else ever hear of this problem?

I have seen faulty usb connectors that had trouble charging or didn't charge at all. I was able to replace the usb connector and it worked fine. If yours is still under warranty I would say go and take it to be fixed.
