Ipod touch 8gb - 3.1.3 want to jailbreak what should i do?

i have an 8gb ipod touch. It is fairly new and i'm assuming it is 3g, but i believe that there is no difference between 2g and 3g. Anyway i want to jailbreak it but jailbreakme.com/jailbreakme.modmyi.com don't work, instead they either return me to the menu screen or reboot. I am considering using the spirit jailbreak but i heard that there is a problem with itunes above 9.2(i have itunes 10).

What is my best option in trying to jailbreak it? an help would b appreciated.

Go to settings and reset network settings and try jailbreakme again...if that doesnt work, Use spirit and don't worry iTunes...

Try to just navigate to jailbreakme.com instead of the extra stuff at the end, there is no reason it should not work for you.

ye, i tried both jailbreakme.com and jailbreakme.modmyi.com and they did not work. Instead all that happens is it either reboots or just takes me to the menu screen
