iPod 1g 3.1.2 tethered ssh with linux?

im running linux mint 8, and cant find a way to ssh into my ipod over usb, itunnel, ifunbox, pdanet, doesent support linux, can someone tell me a program that supports linux, or is it possible to do from the terminal?

do you have access to a wifi network?
if not you can create an adhoc network and connect to it from the itouch
then for the connecting part, try
ssh -Av root@itouchip or
ssh -Av mobile@itouchip

well heres what im trying to do with it. i have a wireless router, the pc in my room i have a 50ft ethernet cord going to it and my wireless usb belkin stopped working so i was going to try and set up my ipod as a wireless adapater for my pc..

and how would i create an ad hoc?
