hey there i have a 32g 3g ipod touch running 3.1.2 and is jail broken with black rain i would like to know how and where to download free movies and if there is a better way to jailbreak or unlock the touch

There is no need to unlock a touch, it has not phone service. Also asking about getting free movies goes along the lines of piracy; which can not be talked about here.

But jailbreaking is illegal, in a core sense, you are editing the files it came with and breaking your warranty therefore its illegal.

Jailbreaking is not illegal. Apple may say it is but by law it is not yet. It only voids your warranty; which is not illegal. So in a core sense some may see it illegal to jailbreak but it is not. In a real court it IS illegal to download movies that you did not pay for.
