Can you use ipod touch to pick up cell phone towers?
I was just wondering if there was an app or anything to have your ipod touch pick up on cell phones towers to enable you to pick up on some wireless internet. I know there are apps to pick up on wifi around your area but i want to get internet off of cell phone towers.

There is a difference between WIFI and cell signal.
For something to pick up on tower signal, it would have to have a commboard, which is what the iphone has. Its the same hardware that makes it a phone.
So no.
