2G or 3G which do i have??

ok im confused i just dnld an ap from apples app store and it says apple ipod touch 2gen but i was under the asumption i had bought a 3rd gen i bout it today how can i tell which i have??? my model number is MC086LL if it helps thanks guys

because it's telling you that you have a 2nd gen.

ok well i resolved my dilemma. i went and purchased the 3rd gen 64 gb i pod touch. my local BB had the 64 gb,a dlo 5 pack of screen protectors, the nike + ipod sensor, a dlo silicone case, and dlo armband/case for $450 and couldnt pass
