    Default Battery life

I got a 2nd generation 8gig refurbished touch from Apple 4 days ago. Ok - for the first few days I was using it a lot, so I expected the battery to go down fast- but it did seem to go down pretty fast, like after 2 hours - so maybe it was not fully charged.

I let it charge up last night for over 10 hours and I was using it today for taking notes, sending a few emails, no music playing, played some games for maybe 30 minutes. Mostly it was just sitting nearby, auto lock set at 5 minutes. I did not actually turn it off at any point, maybe I should.

After 3 hours the battery was down to 40%, after 4 hours its less than 20%

    Is this normal?

set autolock to 1m and lock when your not using it dont let the timer kick in if your can, help apparently

run a modest brightness to help not full

turn off wifi when not in use and location services

    also
    kill processes regularly

see how that improves the life

Ok, thanks, I'll play with that for the next couple of days - brightness was already at only 50%

Turning off the wifi when you're not using it usually helps a lot.
