    Default Computer software

I am considering getting an IPOD touch. Is it possible to load regluar old computer software onto the touch from my laptop. Basically to have it function in a PDA sort of manor? I have a reloading program called "Load from a Disk" which I use to gather and develope ammunition load data which I would like to put on there if possible.

Do you mean an OS? No. Do you mean old programs that were on old Palms or other PDAs? No. Do you mean some information that was on it? If done manually, yes. I don't think that program you use would load information onto the device. Now if you want to store some information on the device, you can do that. If you jailbreak your device and get OpenSSH on your device and WinSCP on your computer, you can put files onto your device that iTunes couldn't or wouldn't do on its own. Are the accessible on the device? Some. There are programs to view text documents, but they must be in a certain format (can't remember which).

No, you'd have to rewrite the program yourself to be optimized for the iPod/iPhone.
    Respect your elders.
