The screen is black, it won't turn on. My PC doesn't recognize it, saying that the device may have malfunctioned. Is it bricked?

Is there anything I can do?

Suggestions would be appreciated.

Put it into DFU mode, and then restore it in iTunes. If that doesn't work, then it must be a hardware problem, and just take it into Apple.

I can't do either of those things. How am I supposed to restore it or put it in DFU if my computer doesn't recognize it?

what will Apple say when they find out I had it jailbroken and had a few cracked apps on there?

DFU mode will allow your computer to recognize it, then restore
