need help with the mplayer

ok so i just installed the mplayer on the ipod touch but i have no idea of how to add files into it. i know is /private/var/media. but how do i get there anyway. but to begin how do i add files into the ipod. i download touchcopy09 on windows vista but i have no idea of how to sync what i added into the program into the ipod. so could someone please halp me with that too.
