Cydia help

After I install stuff in Cydia, IE: Battery themes, stuff like that, do I have to run something for them to show up? I installed a stewie griffen battery theme, but when I plug i my ipod, it just shows the regular battery theme.

Is is a Winterboard theme? If so, you need Winterboard to have themes like those that change the battery activated. Some may be stand-alone themes, but most need Winterboard (or Customize, but that isn't used much in 2.0 and above).
