ipod touch 2g battery problems !!!

hey i everyone, ive had my ipod touch 2g for more than a month now.
i would have it fully charged with wifi on and everything and it would stand by for SEVERAL DAYS!! i've had it jailbroken since i got it (cyw00d). Even after the jailbreak it was perfectly fine and everything the battery would be really good like its SUPPOSED TO BE. now things are getting horrible. ill charge my ipod FULLY and it will last no more than 2 hours????? does this happen to anyone else? is there anything i should do?

Have you anything that is running in the background? Did you install something and afterwords you had the plunge in battery life? Did you restart it or respring? Is it running hot? Turn off everything you know will suck battery life when you're not active and see if that will help.

turn off ssh if you have it installed it will drain you like a hose
