Download the application Respring in cydia and it'll fix it. IF you need to, goto the Manage option in cydia and find the repository of OpenSSH and click Modify on the top right hand corner and "Reinstall" it.

    Hope this helps.

If they reboot then they would have to do the process again of getting it to load. Unless there is a way or an application from cydia that forces the ipod to load up after a reset.

The Jailbreak does not allow the device to load back up when it tries to do a reboot. It sits there and requires the app you used to jail break for it to load back up again.

I tried doing the reboot using bosspref and it just sits at the black screen. Tried a hard reset with power and home but no luck. Any idea on this?

Are you talking about a tethered jailbreak with an iPod touch 2g? Because now you should be able to reboot any ipod with no consequences.

That is correct, it is a jailbroken 2g.

    EDIT: N/M it's tethered: [ame]http://www.ipodtouchfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138578[/ame]

Got it from the above link... I can use step 6-8 to boot it back up but want to boot it without having to use a computer.

Uninstall the themes and restart SpringBoard with Respring from Cydia and re-install the theme(s) again. If this doesn't work. Then re-jailbreak your ipod touch with Quickfreedom to allow yourself to reboot your device so it can refresh the OS from any bugs.

Let me know if this works or not.
