iPod display while connected to Alpine deck in car

I just recently purchased an Alpine iDA-X001 head unit for my car, and I noticed that rather than saying /////Alpine accessory attached, it just says iPod accessory attached. What can I do to make it display the Alpine like it should?

Is that deck iPhone (not iPod!) compatible?
Cause if not, I don't think the Alpine logo will show up on your iPhone (if that's what you're talking about)

It's fine I use my iPhone with an iPod comparable deck all the time. It just says "iPod accesory attatched". Then u just control it from the deck. It's all good

Yeah I'm sure it'll work fine, it just won't show an Alpine logo on his iPhone

Yeah, it's been working fine, I just really would like to display Alpine on my iPod

put a photo on your ipod and open it every time you play music. :P

I would rather have the logo like it usually is on every other iPod than is connected to the deck

Just hit the home button, it will go back to your home screen.
As far as I know, you can't change that ipod accessory screen.

I thought I saw someones iTouch with the screen I want, must have been an iPhone
