No Music on iPod Touch 2nd Gen

My girlfriend just got a second gen ipod touch for christmas. Her sister hooked it up to her computer at home and put their music on it and it shows up in iTunes with all the music on the device but when you go to Music on the iPod, it shows no music.

I thought it would have to do with her iTunes being linked up to another iPod so I tried both my laptops and still has the same results with different music libraries and even put her playlist she made with my music on my iPhone and works fine.

I have restarted and restored the iPod multiple times and still nothing. Everything else works fine on it but just this music issue. Its also running the latest firmware version that came with it (2.2).

I think I might bring it to Apple and see what the deal is but anyone else run into this before?

I have the exact same issue with my 2nd gen touch on 2.2 (jailbroken)

Any ideas on how we resolve this?

benson112, you say 2g jailbroken. its not possible. and as for boxxa, ive never heard of this issue becore, it sounds really rare. like an internal software problem that a restore wouldnt fix. take it into an apple store.
