I dont think we can blame this on the iphone, i blame this on the ignorant public, who feel that they are sufficient with their current cell phones and wont switch to the iphone, also to apple and their lock in deal with atnt which too me costed them what could have been the largest cell phone launch ever... until iphone 2 of course

The iPod Touch is cool and all... but I really think the only ppl who this will be good for is ppl who don't want the iPhone?

i mean they're pretty much identical looking, and the OS is probably exactly the same. It's straight up running Darwin with a mobile version of OS X on top of it. So basically they probably omitted drivers/services that have to do with the phone hardware.

I don't hate it though, in fact it's pretty cool. Hey guys, you COULD buy the new iPod but hey, why not buy the IPHONE for the same price?

that IS pretty cool IMO. i mean really i am not attracted to the space coz I have an 80gig iPod, so an extra 8 gigs to me is kinda not worth losing the phone over.

Gizmodo posted an article saying that if you paid with credit card, and if you whine hard enough, you may be able to get $200 back. =D

I cant agree more, that the if it wasn't for the ipod there would be no iphone, however the ipod touch does take from the value of iphone and it seems to almost degrades the iphone. It is just the iphone without the phone, and frankly if someone wants the features of the iphone, i think they should just freaking buy an iphone!
