Can anyone please offer assistance to me regarding how to insert a sim card into the ipod touch phone? It's driving me crazy

There isn't a sim card on the iPod, only the iPhone. And if it is an iPhone, I believe it is on the top, and you have to get a small poker to get into the hole to eject (though I don't know as I've never removed sim cards).
