How To: merge music and video apps on ipod touch
i love doing this and it seems like it owuld be tricky but all you have to do is replace the info.plist (with the attached file) in /applications/mobilemusicplayer.app and respring and then you will have an ipod app just like the iphone

Haha, thank you for the file.
Also, you can download a merger from Cydia that does just that.

Hey guys I didn't know where else to ask, but I am not able to merge my music and video apps on my Ipod Touch. I'm running version 2.1 and when I go to Cydia and try to install "Transformer" it comes up with error? Any ideas, it worked fine in 2.0.2??

pretty much all of the apps don't work for 2.1 yet. Customize doesn't this doesn't. Just wait for their developers to come out with a update and that should probably fix it.

For those who don't want to wait for the new cydia app to work on 2.1, this does work!

nooooo. I am sorry I didn't mean for it to be harsh, but there are other posts about this file with it and are the exact same thread.

Anyone know how to do the reverse? I'd like my iPod to be split into Music and Video for my 2.1 iPhone.
Get "iPod & iTunes for Dummies", it'll change your life.

Easy
Simply navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/N81AP.plist (or whatever is your generation) and add:
<key/>unified-ipod</key>
<true/>
or remove to un-unite.
