I have not used mocha vnc, but I have used tight vnc.
What it does is open up a new ip adress, which can be used to allow remote desktop connection capabilities. The use for the touch is TouchPad Pro, which used the remote desktop capabilities on your computer, though you need 2 buy it to see the computer screen on your iPod, so it's useless for now.
