Edge??

Ok this might be stupid but can some one explain what Edge is and what are the benefits of it. The latest I've read about it is that it's a Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution and supposedly contents to a network so you can use the Itouch any wheres... I was wondering if this is true and if so then what is the cost of it.

Well there is edge for the iphone but not for the ipod and it probably wont ever come.....

Butt its basically internet anywhere for the ifone

thats impossible it needs a phone it uses the phone towers
