Virgin hacker needs assistance - Itouch

I just got a new Ipod Touch for Xmas and wanted to open it up so as I can add some cool games etc to the frontend. All that black space ont eh front screen leaves me hollow. So the Version is 1.1.2 (3B48b).

I saw what looks liek a reasonable article on jailbreaking my device but wanted to ask a few questions:

Does anyone know of the dangers of doing this. I.E can I lock my device out beyond repair and corrupt the base system ?

Is there a way to get it back to factory default in case I need to get it fixed under warranty?

Is it worth Jailbreaking will it just fill the Ipod with Crap ?

Whats the coolest app to install if I do it.

Any help appreciated.

If you f*** it up all you have to do is restore through itunes its great i was nervous at first but now i've done it to 10 other phones.

i like basic games idigger, blockpuzzle etc, if you like pokemon games the gpsphone is an excellent program ton play game boy advance games.

Yeah I spotted that, is there a better one for my firmware version, the more I look into it the more it seems this version of the firmware is a pain to use, one user has posted a total meltdown of his itouch after doing the upgrade on 1.1.2 makes me a bit nervous, especially as he seems not to be able to restore in Itunes.

So I see this for 1.1.2 on You tube which looks excellent. However in this video he mentions a site for getting the decrypted formware 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 and 1.1.1 decrypted but I can't catch what site these are downloadable from does anyone know. He mentions it;s on Wikipidea but I cannot find it.

truthfully there is nothing to worry about at all
ive done so much to mine
and in my opinion the best app that i have is definetlly iphysics
