I would like to get all my music off my iPod and onto my PC. So far all the methods I've found on the internet are out of date or for Macs.

I know the trick to FTP the files out, but the names are all messed up, so I would not like to do that.

if they are purchased right click your ipod in itunes and click transfer purchases, that will send all purchased music to your pc, then authorize the pc to work with your account and you are good to go!

btw I have the demor, it says to buy full if you have more than 100 songs, but you can get 100, then close + reopen, then download another 100 and repeat.

touch copy also works like a charm for both the touch and iphone.

iPod rip, transfer iPod to iTunes, backup iPod and iPhone music, enable iPhone and iPod Touch disk mode

Well I used touchcopy to transfer my music but I was wondering if theres an easier way to copy all my music from the various subfolders touchcopy put them in, into one big folder.

copytrans didn't work for me to get photos off my ipod touch.

Not surprising that CopyTrans didn't transfer your iPod photos. You have to use CopyTrans Photo for this.
By the way, it's really cool: you can see the photos of your PC on one side and the ones of your iPod on the other side and drag your pics both ways.
