Ill be getting a UK one, what do i use?

Hi all im new here.

Ill be getting my iphone from a uk store and will need to unlock/activate it. I think the UK ones come with 1.1.1 already as standard so i need to unlock and activate it.

Ive seen on ebay some people are selling them in the UK already unlocked for around £350 so there must be an unlock floating around somewhere. Someone told me though the unlock is different for the UK compared to the US.

So does that mean the processes in on this site arnt applicable?

U.K. phones will be shipping with firmware version 1.1.2 of which, at the moment, no hack/jailbreak at the mo. Mainly due to the fact nobody has had a proper look at one yet!!

All the ones on Ebay are US phones

Thanks. Ive found a place that ill get it done from as they are london based. Hopefully they will sort it soonish.

One last question though. Is it true that if you connect the iphone to itunes whilst using an internet connection it automaticaly locks up the iphone again?

So basically when transfering stuff onto the iphone, make sure the internet is disconnected?
