summerboard which version

I'm trying to install summerboard, but there is two verisons on installer, one version is 2.11, which I've found installation instructions for, the second version is 3.0a11, which I've been unable to find install instructions.

Does anyone know if the install process the same for both versions? If not, does anyone have install instructions for 3.0a11?

After I get the iphone apps installed, which mail provided should I use? For example, could I use verzion, if not, which if the following three are easier to use; gmail, yahoo, hotmail

To install summerboard, you simply download the package in Installer.app, it automatically installs that. About your mail question, I don't really follow... are you saying you have a Verizon mail account you want to use? If so, when you first start Mail.app, and it asks for an account, select 'Other.' You should get the POP and IMAP info from the Verizon website; it should be on there.
