First off I'm new to the forum and want to say hi to everyone else listed. I haven't even had my ipod touch for a week and this site has already helped me out.

I question is: How does Apple treat repairing any deffective ipods? I purchased mine used off Amazon from a seller who said he only had his for a week and wanted to buy an Iphone instead. I inspected the purchase when it first arrived, aside from a few scratches everything was fine. Last night I noticed I had a couple dead pixels (they stay white) Can I still wright apple for a new ipod even if I purchased it used?

On a side question. Is there a way to track my Ipods serial to find out how old it really is? I want to see if the guy I purchased it from was telling the truth.
