Changing Carrier Logo Problems

im having a bit of trouble changing the carrier logo on my ipod touch 2nd gen. ive tried a bunch of different tutorials, following directions incredibly carefully, and none seem to work. im trying to avoid having to download multiple apps and/or overwrite files that are in the library of the ipod. the methods i have tried are:

stash>"theme">Bundles>com.apple.springboard>FSO_CA RRIER_IPOD.png

and

stash>"theme">Bundles>com.apple.ATT_US>FSO_CARRIER _IPOD.png

neither seem to work. any ideas on what might be causing this? what im trying to upload is a custom image, so makeitmine is not what im looking for.

Images are now in .artwork files look for "BarLCD.png." I don't recall the exact directory. But, use the search function in "iFunBox" that is what I did to make clear my lockscreen. The status bars should be around there.

Simply download the app "MakeItMine" from cydia and there you go. It's easy from there.
