    Exclamation I need help badly
so i recently jailbroke my ipod touch 4th generation running ios 6.1.6 with no problems, until my so called "friend" decided to "upgrade" my ipod to ios 7. he used some method he got from a stupid, non legit video from youtube. he did it using ifile and now whenever i turn my ipod on, it goes into safe mode with a error message saying springboard has crashed. i tried doing a factory reset but i got an error message. then i tried putting the device into recovery mode and trying it again... once again, error message. i tried it once more and it was gong along fine till the ipod booted in safe mode again. but heres the thing... the software download in itunes is still running....? i could really use some help as this is my only ipod. ill let you know if anything changes.

A DFU restore may do it. What error # are you getting?

Reset is not going to help. I still believe you need to do a DFU restore.

Nope, you have to restore to a fresh OS.

Yup, it will bring you back to a fresh device. You can sync back all you data when done, I would suggest setting up a "new", not using a backup.
