iPod Touch 2nd / 3rd Gen Screen Repair Guide
Dropping and cracking the outer touch screen on an iPod Touch is a common occurrence. It is common that only the glass will crack, normally in a spider-web pattern, while leaving the rest of the device functioning perfectly. This detailed video guide will show the step-by-step process of removing the touch screen assembly from the device, removing the screen from the mid frame, and prepping for a new touch screen.
The iPod Touch 2nd and 3rd generation's screen removal and repair is nearly identical, however the digitizer flex cable will be slightly different on the two models and are NOT cross compatible.
Please let us know if you have any questions or recommendations for improving the guide.
Hope it helps.
