IPod touch 4G Headphone jack only plays out of one ear

My one year warranty is up with apple, and I bought walmarts 2 year extended warranty with it. Will walmart fix or replace it or will it still have to go through apple? Basically I'm wondering because my iPod is jailbroken and I know that voids apples warranty.

A restore from new will git rid of any evidence that it was jailbroken.

Does it? I've heard that jailbreaking permanently changes the baseband or whatever it's called.

Sync ya iPod and back it up. Then restore it and when then menu comes up to restore from backup or new. Pick new and ya should be good.
