Ipod Touch 4G slows down quick
Hi guys
It's been a while since I had this issue.
When I open a few apps, my ipod slow down.
The springboard doesn"t work smooth anymore, button presses take a long time to detect, etc....
The solution for that is the kill some apps and freeing some memory (via sbsettings).
Now that I use spire, it has gotten worse (probably due to the siri framework). My ipod slow down (without opening any app).
How can I resolve this issue?
Is their any app to see what memory is located to which process?
And may it have to do with some cydia packages that use way too much resources?
Any help is appreciated!

Spire slows down old devices drastically. I would uninstall it.

Yeah, I've experienced it.
But that doesn't solve the other issue (ipod slowing down after some apps are active)

Well that's just a matter of ram. If you have a lot of apps backgrounded, then it will use a lot of ram

And is their a way to disable apps from backgrounding?
I think that the backgrounder tweak isn't compatible with iOS 5.0

You can try deleting the language files in the stock apple apps and delete some unused daemons.

Well, I've tried that twice. But everytime my iPod refused to boot.
I only deleted the safe daemons...

Good idea. Do you any reliable tutorial that I can use? I can find the daemon tutorial, but nothing about language files

also, some of the repositories you're using (notably one of them with a big X for it's app icon)
won't win you many friends or much love around here.

Well, being that it is against the site rules, posting things that support it are not advisable.
If I've ever posted anything that supported it, I hope you've used the Report button to let the mods know.
Asking for help with issues relating to piracy is a pretty big no-no.
Asking for help with device issues that could have resulted from that, but might have been caused by something else, is a gray area.
If you don't understand why it's ill-advised to lurk in the gray (when you can avoid it), I suggest you talk with someone who does.

Ow, sorry guys.
I didn't know that those apps were piracy-related.
Sincerely, I'm very sorry guys.
I've removed all those tweaks immediately, because I want to have a clean iPod.
Anyway, thanks for all your help.

The apps are not piracy related but the repo you got it from is. Except for the app with the green arrow :/
