itouch 2g 4.2.1 mc model - can not get into dfu mode
is there a way to jailbreak? for the life of me, i can not get it into dfu mode. thx for ur hlp

What is your method of entering DFU? You may be doing it wrong. You can also try a program called iReb, that will help you enter DFU. You can download it from ih8snow.com

i try the power/home button method, is there other methods besides that? I try it many many time, it only goes to normal boot

Did you try using iReb?
Also, here is the complete way to enter DFU mode. Step 1. Plug your device into the computer. Step 2. Turn your device off by holding the sleep/wake button and sliding to power off. Step 3. Hold the home button and the sleep/wake button at the same time for 10 seconds. Step 4. Release the power button and hold the home button for 30 seconds. Step 5. Congrats! yes, thats the method on most of the web site
I have a mb model, which using this method gets me in dfu, but this mc model just boots normally.
I did follow another site that get the itouch to recovery mode, but greenpoison was not able to jb it. guess there is a difference b/w dfu and recovery.
Anyone know how to jb with recovery mode, instead of dfu? thx

Also, have you tried using redsn0w as well as greenpois0n?
Do you have an mc or an mb model? You did not make that very clear

i have a mc model, (its was in the title)
redsn0w does not work on MC model
I will take a look at limera1n.
