My iPod is POSSESSED! help me please :(

I went out the other night, I had my iPod touch in my back Jean pocket, went to go pee and plonk! In my iPod goes down the toilet..
I grabbed it out, washed it a little and it still worked
But I then noticed it started turning off by itself, this isn't much of a problem now but the volume seems to turn it's self down every 8 seconds it's doing it right now as I type this, and it will keep doing it whenever it wants.
It's really frustrating, I can't even listen to music anymore.
I ripped out the damn vol button in anger but it really didn't accomplish anything..
HELP ME.

try putting it in rice for a couple of days. Btw its not possessed its PISSessed lol
