Unhappy iPod Touch 2g 16 GB Weird Recovery Mode
So I was installing something from cydia (i forget what), it resprung so I did and then it showed the recovery logo. It's weird because it shows the status bar, the power off slider, and takes screenshots. I used the home/power button to put it into recovery mode, and it was different from what my screen shows. My computer Windows 7/Mac wont detect it. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Something looks like it has kicked you back to the activation screen. Do you have the latest itunes installed?

You should be able to put it into DFU mode and restore it.

Yeah, but my computer (Windows 7) or my iMac (latest build) doesn't detect it. I reinstalled iTunes already.

It should detect it if you put it in dfu (dfu is black screen on the device).

I just DFUed. Still doesn't detect. It also doesn't detect it in recovery mode. The iPod also doesn't charge in the computer, although it charges in the wall adapter.

I already tried that. The weird thing is, that if you look at the top of the screen, you see the lock, ipod logo, and the battery. I can hold the power button, and the slide to power off comes up. It also boots slower than when I put it in recovery mode. The screen doesn't have the top either.

Do you remember the program from cydia you installed? Also you could also try (if you have SBsettings) to put it in Safe Mode if you can get to SBsettings through your lockscreen.
