Computer Not Authorized after Jailbreaking
I jailbroke my iPod Touch 4G a few days ago, and I'm trying to sync it with iTunes for the first time since.
When I try to sync, I get a message saying "This computer is no longer authorized for apps that are installed on the iPod "(name)". Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store?" If I click the Authorize button and enter my password, a new box pops up saying "This computer is already authorized." As soon as I click OK on that box, the original box pops back up saying it's not authorized. I have to cancel the sync in order to stop the loop.
I tried to manually deauthorize and reauthorize the computer, but that didn't stop the messages from appearing. I just installed iTunes 10.2, but I've seen on other websites that people had this issue before updating. I tried a repair from Control Panel and I uninstalled/reinstalled, and neither worked to fix the problem. I'm running 4.2.1 and I jailbroke with greenpois0n rc6.
Any help would be appreciated!

Are you logged into the same account in the app as the one in iTunes?

That's quite odd.
Maybe log out of your account in app store and iTunes. Then log into iTunes account, unauthorize then authorize again. Then log in to your account in the app store. Then try to sync.
If any combination doesn't work, I'm not so sure what to do but maybe try another comp.

I just tried this combination and it did not work. However, after that I tried syncing after I manually deauthorized. That changed the popup box to say all of my apps would be removed, but after I authorized it says only 2 would be removed. I'm very confused as to what's going on.
EDIT: I figured out which two apps were causing the problem. I deleted them, but when trying to reinstall them I get an error from the App Store saying I can't because the apps require a microphone. I most definitely have a microphone; it's an iPod Touch 4G.Last edited by icefall5; 03-06-2011 at 02:54 PM.

I wasn't aware any iPod Touches have built-in microphones. Wouldn't that make it an iPhone? Lol
Edit: yeah it does have a mic so the apps are being stupid. It might be more of a problem now with that happening. Maybe a restore and rejb if possible...Last edited by i.Annie; 03-06-2011 at 02:59 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Restoring and rejailbreaking worked. Thank you!
