So I bricked my iPod...
Hello, I have bricked my iPod. I was setting my iPod up to install cracked apps using Step 3 on WHAT YOU NEED TO DO AFTER JAILBREAKING YOUR iPhone/iPod Touch | FSMdotCOM web page. I made the mistake of not noticing at the top where it says to start with 2.2 firmware. I am running 3.0 or 3.1. After I rebooted my iPod it got stuck at the apple logo so I put it into recovery mode and tried to restore it. The restore started fine but after the status bar said preparing iPod for restore, my iPod's screen went completely white and after a few minutes of nothing happening I got an error message saying that my iPod couldn't be restored and the error code 1601. Can anyone help me?
EDIT: Fixed. Apparently switching USB ports does a lot more than I expected.Last edited by Davisman; 09-05-2009 at 08:49 AM.
