iPod touch screen not working "HELP PLEASE"

I stored the iPod 8GB for a while and I charged it up and the touch screen doesn't work now. Help, What do I do to get this iPod working for my little girl. Thanks and have a Blessed day!

You can try restoring it in Itunes, software can cause the issue.

BUT, most likely its a hardware issue, is it still under the 1 year warranty?? Yes or no....I'd try taking it to Apple, they may replace it.

Thanks alot, I'll try the itones restore. And sadly no it's not under warranty, so I'll hope that the itunes restore works. And Thanks again!

If the restore doesnt work....hit up Apple anyways...they were having issues with the older digitizers and at one time were replacing them even out of warranty.

Hey, its worth a shot.

Also, The part isnt too expensive (less than $40)...so thats an option.
