Thread: Bricked?

  1. #1
    Default Bricked?
My Ipod touch 2g 8gb doesn't play music or videos from web pages like youtube , the power button doesn't work either, this didn't happen before I upgraded it to 4.2.1. Any suggestions?

Try restoring. Restoring should fix every problem (Except for the power button possibly) Your device is technically bricked until it cannot be picked up in iTunes and cannot be restored, put in DFU mode, or in recovery mode. Basically meaning that it is completely unresponsive and not functional. Restoring should fix these problems.

Go into TinyUmbrella and click enter recovery mode. Restore the iPod. If all is well then you're set to go. If it isn't, then you may need to consider purchasing a new iPod.
