Apple Gives iPod nano a Big Colorful Makeover

Apple today unveiled a totally redesigned iPod nano that delivers a 2.5-inch multi-touch display and, as the image depicts, a quaint little home button reminiscent of its big brother iDevices. Nonetheless, it's the most sophisticated iPod nano ever devised.
"It's really beautiful, and of course that bigger screen is great for experiencing your music even better," says Apple's Greg Joswiak, noting that the refreshed gadget will come in seven colors: aluminum, black, purple, green, blue, yellow and red.
The new and improved nano delivers a whopping 30 hours of music playback. You can also check out photos and videos. And if that's not enough, there's even an FM tuner with DVR functionalities like pausing and rewinding.
Joswiak similarly praised the nano's integrated Bluetooth and the new "Lightning" connector. All told, it's 5.4mm - 38% thinner than the previous model.
"It's by far the best Nano we've ever created," Joswiak added, confirming that the iPod nano will launch next month (October) and cost $149 for the 16-gigabyte model.

Am I the only one who sees the similarity between the new iPod and the Nokia N9/ Lumia 900/920? Hmm looks like apple copied someone ? What ? Oh no! Never, not apple ! They use their own ideas haha .. My ***!

There's a home button? I can't see it.
Looks nice though. If I didn't have an iPhone, I might actually use that.

I likes the size of the previous generation nano. I could clip it anywhere but this nano looks cool. What got me sold was the Bluetooth. I can finally use my wireless headphones.

Pretty lame to me: lost the possibility to use as a watch, does not bring interesting functionality (weather, calendar).

I just bought a nano and I'm glad I did. I like the small size of it. Looks like they should have kept the nano small and just made a completely new version for the peeps that like the bigger size.

I certainly hopes this comes with a clip. I absolutely love the design and I don't want any dumb arm band or anything like that. I use my Nano every day I work out, and I'd be very disappointed without the clip.

No clip.
What a joke. Why even include the Nike + stuff if you don't have a clip to attach it.Last edited by i.Annie; 09-12-2012 at 09:48 PM.
