iH8sn0w tweets Jailbroken iPod touch 2G running iPhone OS 4 Beta
iH8sn0w, the accomplished hacker linked to n0wbreeze, F0recast and BlackBreeze, is getting attention for a Tweet put out last night that was accompanied by photos and video of the newest jailbreaking conquest. iH8sn0w has unveiled a jailbroken iPod touch 2G running the iPhone OS 4 Beta.
As far as we know, iH8sn0w is presently toiling with a bundle for iPod touch 2G and iPhone 3GS to be used with PwnageTool to jailbreak these particular devices on the latest firmware. Unfortunately, it isn't yet clear when the pwnage bundles will be ready for their grand reveal, but iH8sn0w is believed to be working feverishly to make sure that the roll out happens sooner rather than later.
You check out the clip here.
The video, which is only 28 seconds long, obviously doesn't reveal very much - like multitasking. But this hacker/dev has the credibility to make his claims resonate. Of course, the proof is always in the pudding. And, until more info and resources are made available, the pics and video will ultimately fall on incredulous eyes and ears.
iH8sn0w's photo and video revelation of a Jailbroken iPod touch 2G running OS 4.0 beta, however, comes only a couple days after we similarly observed video of multitasking on a jailbroken iPhone 3G that was also running the 0S 4.0 beta.

i,m happy as i only have a 2g ipod touch, i'll feel sorry for the ipod 3g / iphone 3gs users if it still turns out to be a tethered jailbreak. that has to be a pain in the backside to work around.............sudeki300

4.0 can't come out fast enough! Still crossing my fingers that the jailbreak will work out of the box on the 4th gen iPhone.
I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

unfortunately im still stuck on the 2g iphone, so im really hoping that it will be possible to hack the 4.0 firmware on the 2g, its stupid that they wont release an update for the 2g, even if it is just a really toned down version than the ones for the newer iphones, i still need a new iphone lol, at least a 3g but preferably the 3GS, i know for sure i wont be getting the iphone coming out this year3.0 iPhone 2g

Old news made new again

This is old news but lets not get excited about it either thinking easy break for 4.0
They are reusing old exploits since these are old generation devices to jailbreak, only so cydia dev's can get there apps working for 4.0 don't get excited by this.
Get excited by this they are holding the userland spirt jailbreak since its untethered cause its a boot rom exploit found. This will be used for the final 4.0 OS."I want to change the world but they won't give me the source code"

Does this mean that iPhone 2G is getting ready to run iPhone OS 4.0? If so, would love to help the community do that.
