Does it really matter if this thing has a camera ? I mean if thats all your waiting for then you got problems . Look at me , I can now take pictures with this $300 ipod . Who cares ? If apple is going to wow anyone they need to do better that that !

Exactly what I was thinking. This was could have been recorded from another itouch (because of the scale). I wish that they would have made it with a 3g back. The reason they are lowering the price to $199 because of the new Zune HD, I love competition (keeps the prices low)!

Personally I don't really care much for cameras, nor have I ever bought one (in 29 years - not even a disposable one!). I don't look around the world and think, "I really must share what I'm seeing with someone." That's boring. I don't know where I'm going with this, it's kind of late...

Anybody complaining about not being able to use the iPhone on verizon- u can do it without a jailbreak. Google verizon my-fi it is a wifi router that uses verizons network then broadcasts it over wifi. The device is also smaller than an iPhone.

and plus the camera is placed to high on the 3g its at lease 3 millimeters lowwer
the camera in the picture is placed on the curve

In picture 3, how come the supposed new iPod doesn't have any writing on the back? There's no Apple logo, no GB size, nothing! I think this is fake.

IMO, it -really- looks like a 3g/s with a modded camera, that totally seems un-apple like, with the camera in the middle. Also, if they "never leave apples hands" even if it is a durability test, they wouldn't leave it on top of the dumpster out back, hell, they probably incinerate stuff like that, we don't need anymore drug dealers destroying the world.

--Edit: Not saying Apple doesn't have a video iPod in the works, this COULD be a prototype or something, but still unlikely IMO, plus with it only being a month away in Sept. I doubt they'd still be dealing with prototypes. Unless OFC, it's just the official announcement in Sept. and not the release. Anyone know if the circuitry in 3GS is labeled Apple 2009?

@shahba86: no physical changes ? Man you are funny: double RAM double ROM, new graphic processor, new processor, new 3 megapixel cam with autofocus and new excellent VGA Videocam ?!
the 3GS is a completly new device! Cycorder is ******** if you have ever made/seen a video with the 3GS.

this will definitly come the the same hardware and video like 3GS maybe the processor is a bit faster like usual.

Well since video recording is one of apple's newest "big updates" on the iphone, you would think they would also include this on their new ipod touch (only assuming it has a camera.)
So if it did have video recording, it would only make sense that it would also have a mic (wouldn't it?). Who wants soundless video?
