Apple Back to School Special 2009?
An anonymous source of ours out of Apple lets us know inventory is being stockpiled on 8GB iPod Touches and Canon printers. They've confirmed they're for the upcoming Apple Back to School special (which Apple typically does the first week of June all the way through August).
Generally the deals are a free iPod or printer with purchase of any Mac - looks like this year that'll be upgraded to an 8GB iPod Touch!
If you're planning on buying a new Mac, hold off a couple weeks!We have been getting recent shipments that contain hundreds of 8gb iPod touches, and pallets full of Cannon printers. This is so much more than we normally keep in stock.

Sell it on Craigslist. That's what I did with the previous middle white Macbook last year. With my education discount, I got the Macbook & printer for $999.

I want a MacBook pro. I heard before that they were re-doing the line bringing in an economy version for less money. I'm guessing this release will be about the same time.

Giving iPod touches away is a great marketing technique. I would imagine they'll make up that money from the AppStore in no time!

. I wonder if this deal would work with the new netbooks. (i doubt it)

Has anyone purchased through this before? How does apple check if you qualify (k-12, parent, student, etc)?
