Have a problem and the end. when u use the terminal for the ./rslite
i keep getting cannot execute binary file. can any1 help ? Dont know what that means ?

make sure you have the rite directory on terminal .. For example this is how my directory looks
cd /Users/Carlos/Desktop/Jailbreak/

BWAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA Are you kidding me? Like 600 steps to do that ***** on a MAC or if you own a PC you can just download QuickFreedom and eliminate all the hassle! Man it's times like these that I remember why I own a PC and not a MAC

The Jailbreak does not work, right from the start when you try and change the Info.plist you get a message come up saying, The item "Info.plist" could not be moved because "Cydiainstaller. bundle" cannot be modified.
So pray do tell, how i get around that hurdle then?

drag and drop PwnageTool fromPwnageTool_2.2.5.dmg to the Jailbreak Folder you Created for Storing the other files.just as it shows on the guides then try again. (make sure pwnagetool is not in the PwnageTool_2.2.5.dmg)

Regarding "30. Ctrl + Click on the Restore button and navigate to the directory where CustomFirmware.ipsw is located and select it. Click OK and let iTunes will restore the iPod."

It should be Ctrl + OPTION + Click the restore button.

And yes, the link to LibUSB is missing.

You may need to

sudo chmod +x ./rslite

then enter your password.

This adds execute permissions to the file... although I didn't need them.

i installed vista with bootcamp on my macbook... i got BSoD last night trying to jailbreak. i turned it back on to my working OSX and then i remembered why i bought a mac.



anyways i spent like an hour like this last night and at the part where you start rslite with terminal it gave me an error.

time to do it all over again!!

Hey i gave it a try. and it asks me 2 put my password in but it did not open ./rslite. Dont know what esle to do.

i tryed it . it told to put my password but then nothing happen.
it did not open ./rslite ?

It's not supposed to.

Like I said, it adds execute permissions to the file. Then you need to run ./rslite again.

If you still get the error, try unpacking the file or downloading it again. It may be corrupt.
